Thank you for visiting my WordPress blog and professional website. My name is Alexandra Gresick, and I am majoring in Strategic Communication and Contemporary Journalism at Maryville University of Saint Louis. After I graduate with my Bachelor’s degree in May 2013, I plan to continue my education and obtain a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication and Leadership. picture

My career interests include Health Communication, Non-profit Communication, and Marketing/Communications. I have strong writing and editing skills, in addition to effective  interpersonal communication skills and a keen sense of creativity, and hope to use these skills to work for a health care organization and non-profit organization to advance their mission.

I currently intern at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri in the Marketing & Communications department. Interning at St. Luke’s has helped acquaint me with working in a professional environment and orient me to the exciting industry of Health Communication and Marketing. I also was a virtual marketing intern with VolunTEEN Nationduring summer 2012. VolunTEEN Nation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting teen volunteerism. In addition to my internship experiences, I also work part-time at a large-scale retailer, where I enjoy providing outstanding customer service to a diverse population.

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, writing, reading, learning about history, watching movies, and doing art projects. For fun, I like to explore different parts of St. Louis, go to see live music and other talent performances, watch independent and foreign films, and visit museums. I am passionate about music, art, history, education, health and wellness, and journalism.

Please enjoy browsing my WordPress website and blog. I have posted my resume, in addition to various writing samples.
